I know the PNM never sends it. I mean send it over to the rec writer. Sorry, should have worded that way better. Because what I said and I meant are two different things.

what should I do if my rec writer prefers that I email her the packet? do I just mail the packet myself to the sorority houses

No! A pnm never mails in her own packets. You should never see your own recs, unless the Rec writer sends you a copy There are sororities at ole miss (chi o) that only take digital packets. Every thing is submitted on line! Your rec writer may be asking you for digital copies because that is how she is planning on submitting them!

You support letter writers can send them to your rec writer. She will know what to do.

You are if you have no connections.
Basically we do have time to get to know you within the first six weeks of classes, but it's not as easy as you think. We might meet in class or at a bar (rarely) or at a frat party, whatever, but by the time classes start we all have already picked our favorites and all our attention will be on rushing them.
Honestly, unless you are a super model or have famous parents or some other claim to fame, you don't really have a shot at the top six houses. The bottom houses at this time have only put together lists of who is not getting invited back. They won't start putting their bid lists together until after the first round if rush.

Stop it. That is so wrong.
Girls don't have to be famous to get in a "top tier" house if they send their recs in a little later than you did. Sorry.

Please don't give information when you do not know what you are talking about. A PNM will never, ever send in her own recommendations. Alumnae send the recs directly to their organization. A PNM never sees it.
