1) How can I stand out during rush week?

2) how many girls actually submit letters of support? I am sending in one rec, and one support letter for all houses.

I think a better question to ask for my first one would be, How have you seen girl stand out during rush week in the past? GPA, Charity work, Leadership, Personality, etc.

Thanks you in advance!

Personality goes a long way! Think about that first time you met your best friends. What about then stood out for you to want to get to know then better? We are looking for the same things.

Only out alumni care about what is in your résumé.

The girls that stand out during rush are the ones who I have easy, flowing conversations with. We already know what's on your resume, so we want to see your personality during rush. I love when girls are personable during rush. The ones who are honest and say their throat is sore from talking all day but how they're excited and having fun. The ones who talk about how nervous they are abut their big Chem test on thurs, etc.

Great advice. Rush is tiring for both actives and pnms. We're putting on a show and trying to impress y'all all day, so it's refressing when a pnm comes in and is real with me. I don't want to hear you complain for 5 mins, but if you tell me you're losing your voice or you tripped at the last house, it makes you personable and I'm going to laugh. The girls I remember most and hope I see next round are the ones I just connect with. Conversations always start out the same with name, hometown, dorm, major etc. But the best conversations are the ones that end up on a totally random but interesting topic. It's our job to ask you questions and help make conversation flow, but you guys have to interject your personality and keep it interesting

Some houses don't need support letters. I wouldn't worry about them. As long as you have your recs in order and connections, you'll be peachy!

so it's more of a top tier thing? I heard the alumni care about them? If I send in a one rec, and one support letter that def won't hurt right?

For my legacy house, I have like 5 women who want to write me letters. I was planning on one rec and two support letters so they know I seriously want them to consider me ( I know legacy status never guarantees a bid)

I'd use all those women as recs! Send the sororities as many recs as possible! The more the merrier!

Get as many as possible! Seriously! You don't want to be limited to half the houses just because you listened to half the advice on this website.
