greek affairs

I am an out-of-state transfer. If I contact the office of Greek Affairs to get some help/advice with recruitment, will they help me or will I just look dumb?

You won't be the only person asking for help, so don't worry about feeling stupid.
If you're worried that Panhellenic will label you as "dumb", please don't worry about it. It's better to be informed.

If you want REAL advice, talk to girls in sororities. When you call them, you will get the answers that you will find on the website (which are true and helpful) but the people picking up the phone might not have rushed recently, you will never know.
If you know anyone in any sorority (even if it's at a different SEC school) that will help you more. We give you more realistic answers: "Get more than one rec per house." "The recs are not recommended, they are REQUIRED.", "Turn them in in June at the latest.", etc.

Helping PNMs through rush is their job. Why would they think you are dumb for asking questions? Just be sure to do your own research, too, and do not expect to be hand fed really simple information.
