is it mandatory to go to some of the spring parties to rush a top tier sorority? If I don't go will it hurt my chances? Thank you

How do you know you want to be in a top tier sorority? Based of greek rank? You may not even like those girls. I may be wrong but it seems like you just want the title.

Just go in with an open mind and act like you have read nothing on greek rank. Just be yourself and you will do GREAT during rush week.

Girls only want to be in top tier because of the title. I know a lot of girls who pretended to be different because they liked the idea of being top tier when they don't know the girls. I think girls rather be miserable and wear "top tier" letters than happy in "bottom tier".
You get the same experience!

If you don't already know girls in the top houses, you aren't getting into a top house. You might be able to get dg but they've been going down in the ranks anyways

Are a great way to meet girls and strengthen your connections. If you know an active, you should absolutely come down for a spring party. You can still get into a top house without coming, but coming will help your chances

I totally understand having an open mind with rush/sororities, I was just wondering if some sororities would cut me because I didn't go to a spring party. I have lots of connections and know lots of girls- I just can't make 2 of the bigger parties coming up because I have other things going on the same weekends..

They won't cut you if you're not able to go to a spring party. As long as you have good connections you can do it
