by: mobile

I can't think of any Div 1 school - public or private - where DG has a top tier chapter?

Don't try to stir up trouble. DG Is good at ole miss because it was founded in oxford. They're good at ms state, schools in California, and florida. DG has loads of tradition at ole miss and that is what makes them desirable.

DG is good at Ole Miss because they were "founded in Oxford". Who cares? Is this the tradition they are so proud of? That's it? No wonder they are falling in popularity. Please come up with something better for your sorority than that.

I don't think that was a DG posting that? Because if a DG were to explain why they were good, they'd talk about having highest GPA, doing so much for their philanthropy, having so many girls involved in ASB and on campus. Not to mention always coming in top 3 in events like theta encore, charity bowl, etc. Also having so parade of beauty winners and camous favorites.

"Founded at Oxford" doesn't automatically make them good, but what's wrong with history and tradition? Not every house can say they have a legacy who's a direct descendant of one of their national founders.

Ole Miss DG actually reminds me a lot of Alpha Gam at Bama -- old houses with lots of tradition and lots of legacies, but folks always put them at the bottom of the top or in their own bubble between top and middle.

Bottom tier at Alabama, LSU, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee

No chapter at Vanderbilt, folded

Upper Mid-tier at Texas A&M, Ole Miss

Mid tier at Missouri and Florida (not respected at all, falling each year)

Do they have a chapter at South Carolina?

Miss State who cares

I think we're talking about Ole Miss not the schools listed above! Tri Delt isnt that big in Texas but top here ... do you think the DDD's or DDD wannabe's here care? One of my good friends is a DG and another girl from my hometown. Love them!

Tri Delt is lower top tier at Texas, and top at SMU, Tech and A&M. To say they aren't big in Texas is just not true. The only sororities that are bigger in the state are Kappa and maybe Pi Phi.

I like DGs here actually, although some can be a bit over the top or competitive. Don't see what the point of this is. But as someone from out of state I have to make some changes.

Top-MSU, FL schools
Upper Mid-Ole Miss, Kentucky, A & M
Middle-LSU, Auburn, Tennessee
Bottom-Georgia, Alabama
No chapter at Arkansas, Vandy, or SC

But also every sorority has stronger and weaker chapters. My chapter is mid here but top in Texas and Alabama but bottom at Auburn.

Bottom at Auburn & Kentucky
Chapter folded at Vanderbilt
No chapters at Arkansas and South Carolina is not being "strong in south"

And, the worst of it all.....they completely ruined their reputation at University of Florida with the DG on a boat video. They are mid tier now and declining, not respected.

MSU chapter is not the top chapter, maybe bottom top tier but that's it.

The Mississippi DG chapters are known for being highly competitive but they are not respected by other sororities because of their "win at all costs" attitude.

You could make this same post about every single sorority. Every sorority has chapters that are outstanding, average, and kinda terrible. It seems kinda pathetic to call out dg for this when it has nothing to do with the chapter here.

they have historically been one of the top two, along with Theta. Good looking girls from wealthy families who go on to successful careers.
