letters of rec
by: RebelzI know that you need two letters of rec per house in order to even be considered... But I don't know that many people to get enough recommendations! What should I do? I'm nervous that this will be a setback when rushing.

You might know more people than you think. Have you asked any of your teachers if they have a sorority affiliation? Your parent's co-workers, ladies you know from church, or your neighborhood, family members of friends -- any woman who went to a four year school might be Greek, so start asking. I have several friends who found recs by having an older female family member post on FB that their daughter/sister/niece needed recs. I actually know more than a few people who found recs that way. You can also contact local alumnae groups for each sorority and ask them for help. Since the alumnae won't know you, they might want to talk, email, Skype, meet for coffee etc before they agree to give a rec, but lots of PNMs find help this way. Good luck!
