sorority run down
by: HelpI'm going to come through rush next year and I just want an honest opinion on the personalities of each sorority so I can get an idea of where I might fit in.

XO
If you like to party:
and are from Mississippi (primarily)- DDD
are from the east coast / north / northeast - KKG
are from Texas / South/ Southeast- Pi Phi
If you thrive on competition, are fun but not wild
(and have lots of alumni connections)
KD or DG
If you are Sweet / Girly / Friendly (girl next door):
Phi Mu or AOPi
If you are fun, diverse, value strong friendships
Theta
If you are a mix of all of the above

You don't get it. What YOU care or don't care about is not really important to the answer. The poster is telling you what those sororities look for and which kinds of girls they pledge. She is saying that if you are not from Jackson, you are less likely to be considered by XO, etc. Pay attention.

There is no way to figure out where you will fit in until you visit these houses! Have you met any girls that are members of any sorority? It starts there. Meet girls when you get to school, connect with girls you know before you get to school and put your best foot forward. Don't so much get caught up in what everyone else thinks. You will end up where you are meant to be. It is that simple.

What about the personalities in XO, DDD, KKG, and Pi Phi? I don't really care about where girls are from. I'm from the south.
