pledge classes and tier system

by: Honestly

Contrary to what everyone says on this website. One "bad" pledge class will not change the tier system. According to greekrank, DDD and DG had subpar pledge classes this year (not true) and are no longer top tier. This is so not accurate. DDD has been top for decades. DG has also been lower top for forever too. Amazing pledge classes come and go but tier system doesn't change that easy. This also goes for lower tier chapters. Yes, ADPI and Theta had great pledge classes and are doing better but this doesn't make them better than aopi and pi phi. It would take years for that to occur. One good pledge class won't make you jump the system and neither will one bad pledge class make you drop in the tiers.

It's kinda obvious that you're in a top tier sorority but I'll let that go because this post is accurate.

Just because a house is considered top doesn't mean the girls are snobby and mean.

Just because a house is considered less than top doesn't mean the girls are nicer or more noble or more sisterly than girls in top houses.

I was with you until this point. Most top tier houses are full of legacies and girls that are afraid NOT to join because they'd lose their connections. How do I know? Well...how do you think?

I've. Never heard of a girl afraid to join her legacy chapter.

Girls do it all the time.

I didn't post the comment with the name "another thing" but I do agree with her. And I don't agree with legacies being afraid not to join their legacy chapter. I cut mine the first night last year just to be fair to them and it was the best decision I ever made. My mother was upset initially but was happy that I was happy. I still have my connections with that chapter and so will my future daughter if she decides greek life is for her

I was cut last year by my legacy chapter after first round, but that was probably because I was bored out of my mind by the girls who picked me up and it probably came across as extremely rude on my part. Either way, I didn't want them and they didn't want me. It was a win win. I don't think girls are afraid of upsetting anyone by not pledging their legacy chapter.
