I'm not going to respond by saying how great I think we are, I KNOW it and LIVE it! Everyone should think amazing things about their sorority! But I do want to respond to this specifically because DG did not snap bid at all. It's absolutely false. We had the perfect 130 girls that we wanted that loved us the most too. Please don't spread rumor after bid day, go enjoy your new members!

I know for a FACT that you gave out snap bids...a girl who received one told me! It's not the end of the world but it is true that your rush didn't go as well as planned. Don't say you got the 'perfect 130 girls that we wanted...' because it's FALSE! You ended UP with that number because you gave out snap bids! Of course you love your sorority...cuz it's YOUR sorority. I mean lol. Plus, 'Active', you're giving yourself away with your style of writing...its the old passive aggressive approach that you use regularly on your blog.

considering you got like no quota additions you probably did snap bid to get to 130. you weren't given quota additions because pnms did not rank dg that high in comparison to other houses they preffed. come on, be honest.

Many of my friends got their bids from DG! They're so sweet and they are all so happy to be there.

"Nice try," there seems to be a lot of people bent on being negative about this girl. It's really clear you are trying to prove a point that my sorority is flawed because she is a member, especially because you can't even consider that a DG would respond to something without it being her. I do know her, but I will not comment on her other than saying she's my sister and I love her good and bad. Not one single member of DG is perfect, and not one single member of your sorority is perfect. By calling out a specific person, you are doing the exact thing you are raking her over the coals for. I responded to stop the spread of false information, and for you on the OUTSIDE of MY sorority to try to convince people anonymously that WE didn't get the girls we wanted is incrediably shallow. Would you want YOUR new members being lied to like that? Like I said, be happy with your sorority and new members and don't go after someone else's.

DG gave out 0 snap bids. Quota was 130, and there were 132 girls on the bid list. Every single house had "quota additions" which are not the same thing as snap bids.

DG's are very well liked and respected around campus. Incredibly involved and very competitive. I personally thought they were the most beautiful girls when I went through recruitment.
All the ones that I have met are very genuine and sweet. Also known as goody-goodies and are very into their grade. Always seem to have the highest GPA every single year.

DG is actually super involved on campus. They have a girl on SA and are in most organizations and do well in competitions. Their competitiveness rubs a lot of people the wrong way, but they definitely don't disappear.

Disappear? DG swaps with all of the top fraternities, has about 6 cheerleaders and rebelettes, won TWO ASB elections last semester, won theta encore, had 4 girls in the top 10 at parade of beauties, and was awarded highest GPA. You can say a lot of things about DG, but "disappears after rush" is most definitely not one of them.

This is the most inaccurate thing I've ever seen. Yes, most of these girls have MORALS and can appear to be judgemental and prudish, but aren't we all at times? Not every girl has the urge to sleep with half the frat guys on campus. Some are actually here to earn their degree and get involved on campus. These girls are DG's.

DG has been the same for years. Newer money and more middle class than DDD and XO, so they are stricter on morals. Very success oriented in everything, academics, campus involvement, campus politics (they plan two years ahead), and so forth.
Although it has varied from year to year, they consistently have been generally perceived to be in third or fourth place at Ole Miss. It really depends on what you are looking for in a sorority. For a young woman who is a little driven to be successful in life in terms of a career or politics, my personal opinion is that they should rank first. But everyone will have their own opinion on this.

That's funny because they have the highest GPA on campus. Pretty sure most of them are looking for more than their mrs degree
