New member sizes

by: New members

From the scorecards (the more people taken per sorority = the less competitive. Houses have variable quota and houses with the highest drop rates have to take more girls to fill their houses so each house has about the same number of members. Axo excluded from this since they’re new but still showing their numbers)
Adpi- 242
Axo- 241
Aoii- 229
Pi phi- 214
Kappa- 200
Dg- 199
Alpha phi- 199
Kd- 187
Phi mu- 182
Tri delt- 182
Chi o- 179

Too big... I thought this next year they were going to cut off pledge classes at 90-100. Concentrate on instate and local girls.

That's against NPC rules. Also a terrible idea.

for the last 2 years, ole miss has been under a variable quota system due to the addition of axo. basically, the larger the chapter was going into recruitment, the lower the # of new girls ole miss panhellenic allowed them to take. and that could be girls transferring, getting married, graduating early or whatever. so don't read too deeply into the variance in numbers for the last 2 years.

starting this fall, regular quota will be back in force. quota additions may still take place which will boost the sizes of some pledge classes, but the variance should be smaller than in the last 2 years.

Ole Miss had to start doing Variable Quota in 2017 and has been doing it off and on since. Recently it was to help build up new chapter AXO, but before that it was not for a new chapter, it was to try to help struggling Theta, which folded anyway, and to try to bring the rest up to parity but those same chapters have still not got there. Toxic rush, toxic attitudes, toxic mammas and alums. We'll see what happens back to normal quota.

What alums are saying... Nobody can be selective especially with these out of state girls from TX and GA.

Variable Quota was used in 2023 and 2024. AXO did not rush in 2022.

These numbers do not reflect drops accurately. They also include graduates. So many students graduate early.

Look at sorority GPAs. Check out their scorecards for involvement. Stop worrying about ranks. Look at the insta pages. They all look the same.

I rushed with a full card every round. Was down to 2. One I thought I really wanted , considered the top house. I got the other one..Best thing that ever happened to me. Trust the process. I would not change a thing.

Dont let the pledge class numbers fool you. Yes some sororities take more pledges but it doesn't mean they have large numbers drop. Some houses may have a huge graduating class or a large number of members transferring or leaving for different reasons.
