i think i'm the only girl who did not want top!

by: happy

All of these posts say "every girl wants the top 3 houses!" but I honestly never did. I wanted the house I am in now. When I walked into my house and met the first girl of the week, we immediately hit it off, she is now my big, and I put said house on the top of my bid card every round. On pref night, I was invited back to KD because I had really high grades and a girl from my hometown was a KD, but even then I didn't rank them first. KD was an incredible house and the girls were beautiful and sweet, but I didn't click like I did with the house I am in now. and that is TOTALLY reasonable and ok!

Please don't let people tell you that you're "only" going to want the top 3 houses. I never once felt that. Maybe It is different because I'm not from the south and didn't have any pre-determined views on the greek system, but I am so happy where I ended up. I know I have asked a lot of girls and they're shocked when I told them I didn't ever once think about being in a top house, but that is ok. Everyone is different. Just make sure you rank for the right reasons because a lot of people rank for the wrong reasons and end up regretting it. I still have all the same benefits, get invited to all the same date parties, and LOVE my sisters and wouldn't trade where I'm at for the world.

Just wanted to give my 2 cents for the PNMs who are feeling the pressure right now.

You are right! Many, many girls are not comfortable in the top tier. Ddd's are overly confident and you will not feel comfortable there if you are shy or have self esteem issues. Xo's are very cliquish and you will not fit it there unless you are a nature at making friends. KD is very competitive and you will not feel comfortable there if you hate competition.

DG also has very cookie cutter girls who fit their mold.

You have to find the house you are comfortable in or you will hate sorority life.

Yes sister keep bringing the truth. And don't worry if someone thinks you are just posing as top tier we know that only a sister would find fault with the OP,I mean we all know everyone wants top tier.

I know your comment has to be for the poster that bashed Theta 3 posts before the are the person with no friends even though they are in the top tier. Amazing how riled up everyone gets about top tier taking jabs but they can be hateful all day to lower and nobody acts surprised.

I think the only thing people are upset about is the girls who keeps comings on here pretending to be top tier just to make the top tier look stupid.

She continues to take gleeful pleasure in making others uncomfortable. I don't know about any sorority except my own, but that type of behavior would be frowned upon. It's not funny, classy, or likely to deter someone from pledging a top tier house.

Here is what we have gathered from the wise postings of @podd the KD this morning: her mom read gone with the wind, she didn't get cut by anyone because to know her is to love her, she doesn't like DG or KKG to be shown in a positive light. She would like everyone to know that posing as a top tier girl or being negative about top tier is classless and drowned upon. Basically she really wanted the post about what nasty rushers they are to go away.

You are not the only but the only honest and brave one because this statement will bring the wrath of you know who in their self-ranking binges.

Honest and brave? Sounds like my mom is back on here. The alumni need to quit posting.
