You can tell if a sorority is interested in you because they have been friend requesting you on Facebook and other social media like crazy. They have invited you up to Oxford last semester to stay in the dorms with them. Some are sending out post cards like Christmas cards, valentines cards, graduations card etc.

As an active, if somebody tells me about you, whether that person is another active, an alumni, a friend from high school, etc, I will immediately go to your social media pages and check you out. If I like what I see I will tell my friends about you and they will do the same. I can also look at mutual friends to see which other sororities are looking at you. Many of the top girls have been friend requested by now by 50 to 100 girls in various sororities.

There are rules we have to follow, like we can't promise you a bid, but so far contact with you is still allowed. There will be other rules we have to follow once classes start, like no more contact with you after a certain date until bid day.

Girls dirty rush by promising bids (nobody can promise you a bid!), or texting you after parties to tell you how much they loved you, etc. basically we can't do anything that makes you feel that you have a bid in the bag. I have personally seen girls crushed and disappointed on bid day because an active had been texting them all through rush telling her not to put other sororities first because she was sure to get a bid to their sorority.
