Phi Mu moving up?

Unpopular opinion but I feel like kd, xo, phi mu, and maybe even dg and kappa are all basically on the same level. kd, xo, and dg are all houses that are good but have been traditionally "top" at ole miss for what seems like no particular reason. phi mu and kappa are newer houses that don't have the same reputation and legacy as the older houses but many pnms desire them more. Kd and xo are only ever ranked as top because people feel like that's the default, not because they actually stand out as top houses

Neither kd, ddd, or xo have a say in their PC’s. PM and KKG handpick their PCs so that’s why it seems like they always get the best girls. But it’s innacurate to say the other three are uninvolved, because their alumns pick the smartest most involved girls. And that’s not to say PM and KKG don’t, because that usually plays a big part in seeing if girls would benefit their chapter in a positive way. But that’s not all they look for: they look at personality, personal connections made during rush, etc to see if the girl would be a good fit in their sisterhood. That being said, just because kd, ddd, and xo don’t have a say, doesn’t mean they don’t get great girls too. They just get different types. If it makes more sense: they get girls that look good on paper, and PM/KKG get girls that look good in person.

I think a lot of PNM’s are attracted to KKG and Phi Mu because of their strong sisterhood and they all get along really well.

traditionally top 3 are: DDD, KD, XO.
listen, everyone will come here and complain but these don't change. it's set in stone.
XO was top for 100 years or so. DDD took over 90s to 00s. KD is probably the top now. Either way all 3 are top and nothing is going to change that.

KKG, DG, Phimu.
These are the best realistic houses. just like harvard is the best college for most high schoolers. by most I mean the average high schooler who doesn't have scholarships to play football at bama or basketball at duke.
DG should be top tier (and they claim they are) but honestly they are a total disappointment. they are the only house started at ole miss. one of the nicer houses, yet never was top tier. Of the three (kkg, phimu, dg), DG is the best.
Kappa - most fun and it's the house most girls want to get. Def the best house the past 5-10 years of the three.
PhiMu - always been good but a step below dg/kkg. They probably did the best the last year of the three, but that's just one year. most houses don't keep trends. Also by doing best, that has more to do with dg and kkg just completely blew it last year

Based on the PNMs DDDs are blasting on Instagram they aren’t on the way up.
