Can our letters of recommendation be from girls who are currently in a sorority or do they have to be from alumna

Ask the women that offer to write for you. Different sororities have different policies. Some allow only alumnae to write recs, some allow an active at another university to write a rec for a PNM, some allow all actives to write recs.

Yes, it is. Go to the panhellenic site and then the recruitment page and scroll to the very bottom. There you will find "Recommendation Letters" where you can click and see every sorority's policy for recs, including who can write them for you and how many you need. If you are too lazy to do this you don't deserve a rec from anyone.
