Top tiers are all legacy based (95%) and 5% are very strong hometown ties (i.e. you have multiple best friends and grew up with them, live in the same town as actives, parents are good friends with each other).
Middle tier are connections/resume/same city wise. You could be a random, with avg applications and not know anyone but click with a middle tier girl during rush and you'll get in.
Bottom tiers are pretty much everyone's that's left.
APhi is looks wise
AOPI kind of chill/nice type
ADPi is pretty much non werido wise

Take a good, long, hard look around the ChiO house.... it is ALL about connections and very little based on looks.

So first of all, ole miss has a bizarrely attractive student body. Even the students that aren't that attractive somehow look better. I don't know if it is the makeup or the hair or what. I'm from the NE and if I go and visit a friend at BU people just look normal. At ole miss everybody is...glossy lol. In a good way.
So looks matter to a certain extent but not how you might expect. It is more if you stick out in an unattractive way and won't work with what you have kind of way, as opposed to be exceptionally gorgeous because honestly, so many people here are gorgeous.
I'm talking about the girls. Guys are kind of normal range or hot to not.
