What do y'all think about Texas A&M's greek life?

let's just say, alot of girls from texas going to ole miss would love to go to a&m. They only take top 10%.

I'm from Texas and know many, many girls from Texas going to Ole Miss. Not one of us even applied to A&M. It's two totally different worlds! Yes, the top 10% rule in Texas has changed the makeup of Texas schools, but that is exactly why we chose to go out of state to schools with a much more diversified student body.

ole miss diversified? that's a joke...

Texas girls go to Old Miss for one reason - they aren't smart enough to get into the top Texas Schools - UT, A&M, Rice, SMU

top Texas Girls go to Texas, A&M, and then Baylor

---if you can't get into those and have money----SMU, TCU

---if you don't have money, Texas Girls first choice out of state is Oklahoma

---if you can't get into Oklahoma----Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Arkansas

it is easiest to get into Ole Miss and Arkansas of the out of state public school choices

I go to UT and just stumbled on here, but where in the world did you decide Baylor was above TCU and SMU? Those two are much better Greek schools than Baylor, have higher tuition, and are ranked higher academically.

If you have half way decent grades and test scores Baylor, TCU and SMU will give you big scholarships.

you were dumb to pick Ole Miss over Baylor and Oklahoma - IF- you got into both.

I didn't go Baylor because I didn't want my parents having to pay the tuition. And Oklahoma didn't hold the same charm as Oxford. Oxford vs Norman. Easy choice for me. I'm also a forensic chemistry major. Neither school offered that degree.

greek life is pretty sad compared to OlMiss, UT or any other SEC school. The greek system is relatively new (started in the 70's) and not that popular with students. Kind of sad

If you are ever in College Station, drive over to the sorority houses. You will flip your lid. They may not be 100 years old like UT, but they are huge and take up a quarter to half of a block each. Texas girls simply have deep pockets and would NEVER choose Ole Miss over UT or A&M. It's all about the grades.

I go to UT, but A&M is a better academic school, and Ole Miss is a better Greek school. Depends on what you want.
