TOP tier: ddd/kd/xo
DDD - rich girls. heavy in cities in mississippi (jackson) and big cities around the south (atl, dallas, etc)
KD - competitive southern girls. least strict as far as legacy requirements of the 3 top tiers (then again, KD isn't a big national chapter), they are heavy on home towns and aggressively go after certain hometowns.
XO - smart, artsy type, known least for partying of any house. Super heavy on legacy based and hardest house to get into if you are not legacy.

Upper mid:
-Kappa - fun party types, lot of out of state girls. Top house for most out of state girls.
-DG - known for their cheerleaders, but have a diverse group in the background who don't get much attention. Heavy Texas presence.

Mid:
-Phi Mu - known for pageant type girls, but also have a bit diverse group. Not known for "hot" girls, but known for pretty girls.
-Phi pi - just average all the way around. seems to stay out of all drama

Lower mid:
-aopi - just chill friendly type girls. always put on a good rush but seems like they are getting forgotten more and more...year after year.
-aphi - known their looks. considered bottom mostly due to being new. most girls are far out of state, but they do recruit a bit from public schools around state (madison central)
-adpi - again considered bottom mostly due to being new. had the most impreoved rush this past year. Few hot girls, but mostly just a random collection.

This cannot be that difficult to comprehend.... if you took away all legacy, desirability, rank etc. This is how each house is viewed based on like population.

I also agree with most of the OP post but I would put AdiPi with the middle group but on the low end. I don’t feel like they are partiers like Kkg and A Phi.

I also kind of feel like DG and Phi Mu could be their own group with the Barbie, cheer, pageant extra type... but I agree with wholesome.

COMPARISONS

kd doesn't really have anyone else on it's level : competitive

ddd and chio : mississippi legacy

aopi and pi phi : sweet but overlooked

phi mu and dg : what you think about when you think of basic sorority girls, pageant girls, etc

kappa and aphi : a little on the wilder side but fun

adpi and dg (dg has a big mix of so different types of girls) : sweet but psycho, cheerleaders?

Compare: estimate, measure, or note the similarity or dissimilarity between.

Rank: place within a grading system.

When a comparison is made based on similarities, especially when its a top tier house like KD compared to Pi Phi or AOPI, it doesn't make sense. I can see comparing them to Phi Mu and DG in some aspects, but after bidding their legacies, KD is more likely to want the same girls as DDD and XO.

Truth is all our sororities have similarities in many aspects - everyone wants good girls, good grades, legacy history (if it's a good fit), attractive, involved, potential growth, etc.... It's really not rocket science.

Stop comparing your daughter's house with any other house. YOUR daughter needs to help her house. This strategic effort to compare completely incomparable houses is so pathetic. At least you stopped beating up on Theta. Oh, wait...l

I liked what the OP wrote. If you looked at pledge class photos alone and knew personalities It is really accurate. Chi O and DDD have an odd mix and I would be tempted to put AOPI with them and definitely would have grouped Theta with them. That is not an insult. You just cant tell by a pledge class photo. And all of these kind of run on their own

I would separate KD, Phi Mu, DG, and pi phi together. They look like nice sweet and pretty girls and I know that CHi O and DDD have a few lookers but I wouldnt say overall they do. A

KKG, AdiPi and Aphi look like girls that party and are wild...based again just on pledge class photos and vibe.

Honestly, everyone is entitled to their opinions and to bring up the ranking as OM lives an dies by it.

JMHO, I think Chi O, KD DG and Phi Mu have the truly pretty girls and the best sisterhoods. I am so jealous of how beautiful these girls look with no makeup and ponytails/ball caps on.

DDD as a whole is not outstanding as the four mentioned above. Yes, they have some pretty girls but there are some serious issues in the looks overall and WE all know this- look at them walking around the square in their letters. I would put them off on their own.

Next, KKG, ADpi and Alpha Phi are gorgeous girls but all dolled up all the time. They can party like no one else here and they know it. Frats love them because they are the instagram famous girls who like to have fun. These girls are super confident!

Lastly I would put Pi Phi and AOPi together. They are a good mix of all types of girls from all over the US. They have very strong sisterhoods too.

It doesn't matter what I think the poster I was referring to is trying to do because I mind my own business. Having said that, I see a pattern of one particular poster/house who annoys me because they are so thirsty. It annoyed me. I shouldn't post about how obvious they are. It's sad.

Yes, in the long run - none of this really matters and is not a matter of life and death, but it's sure fun to toss around, not gonna lie about it :)
