legacy looking to switch

by: legacy

hi!
i’m attending ole miss next year and am a legacy to a sorority that isn’t exactly one i want to be in on this campus.
i’m seriously considering changing my university to a school where this specific chapter is performing closer to top tier than middle.
i think i have a serious shot at a top tier - should i relvile where i’m legacy even though i don’t want that house?

this is so shallow. tiers do not matter and if they really do matter to you you need to stay in high school.

Shouldn't your first priority be education? Being a member of Greek life is about a life long bond of shared values and not about the short term gain in social status. I would advise educating yourself on sorority life and values before joining and becoming a bad member with a self-absorbed attitude. Legacy or non-legacy, that way of thinking will most likely get a PNM cut from invitation lists.

Being a legacy to any chapter will get you no more than a courtesy invitation to the next party with most sororities. Don't
assume that being a legacy guarantees you anything.

i'm so lost, are in high school and are coming here next year?

half of your posts sounds like you are in a sorority and will transfer here and you plan on rushing as an upperclassman.

and no being a legacy at another school and switching to another house here isn't a big deal.

top tier houses only care about ole miss legacies. Being a xo/ddd/kd legacy at any other school but ole miss won't get you far.

How do you know you don’t want that house? Have you been through rush at Ole Miss? By middle of rush week, you may be begging for that “middle tier” house.
