end of the semester newsletter fall 2018

Good evening folks, here is your end of the semester headlines. In summary the semester can be described as "not as expected".


(1) Theta departures.
After struggling for what seems to be entirety, Theta unexpectedly closed it's chapter. Theta's didn't waste the opportunity to bash other houses for their own poor image. And other houses are now on edge since they don't have a sure shot dead last house on campus any more. Despite the finger pointing, at the end of the day, Theta couldn't keep their numbers and closed due to their own faults.


(2) ADPI is now your reality check house
The barrel a lot of girls end up looking down...with no legacy status and little connections they are faced with Aphi, Adpi and Theta. In the past at this point 99% of girls would show their cult like love for Aphi, but that wasn't the case this year. Adpi stole the show in bottom tier, even stole many girls from Aphi and Aopi and even some Piphi.

(3) Tridelt is your undisputed top house
Tridelt was always the top house, some newer girls, particularly freshman and sophomores would consider KD in that debate as they had better classes of late, but not this year. Tridelt killed it and KD had a piss poor class. I wouldn't say KD was in the debate, but was certainly a threat, and that threat is now over. Tridelt is your top house.

(4) DG was all talk and no show
After countless bogus self claims of being top tier all early semester and a new renovated house, everything was in line for DG to have a killer rush. But boy oh boy did they drop the ball. Even the DG self rankers were embarrassed by their PC and in essence the DG top rankings deceased as these girls hide in the bushes so not to draw attention to themselves. Their PC ranks as a bottom of mid tier. With that said Kappa is now your top house in the mid tier (NO, DG you're not top tier, which would mean you are below Kappa).

(5) XO will always be questioned why they are top tier, but this class won't be questioned.
The debate as old as time...is XO top tier? That debate will continue but not because of this class. Yes, they recruited nothing but inbreeds as routine XO fashion, but these inbreeds were quality. The best XO class they had in years.

(6) GDI is becoming more and more popular
The GDI movement has been inching forward for years but took a big push this year with a drop in rush numbers. Being GDI was once thought of girls who couldn't get bids, but with variable quota and bottom tiers extending bids to basically everyone to meet quota that stereotype has faded. Also top tiers are more of a reflection of legacy status then any qualification of the girls. Still, if GDI was a sorority they'd be a bottom mid tier, and if GDI was a frat they'd be mid tier. Keep in mind athletes (football, basketball, baseball) are mostly all GDI and they run the school regardless of their record and really push the GDI guys forward.
