how has theta’s rush been this year?
by: HeyI didn’t hate them or anything but didn’t really like them when I went through rush but I have a few good friends in there and I know that they’ve been practicing a lot and trying really hard to improve. I was just curious if it was good this year? They’re not really sure, I know this isn’t really the best place to ask but was hoping for at least a few quality responses. Thanks!

So far from Greek Day and Philanthropy Day, they seem like sweet girls with a great energy! I'm trying to keep an open mind, and honestly the girls I talked to were really cute and sociable, but I can only speak for myself. Their philanthropy video was a little sad though, but it seems like a great cause

You didn't like them when you went through rush, you don't hate them, and you know this isn't the best place to ask...but you just can't help yourself. AND is this the only sorority you were wondering about?
Maybe it's just me, but shouldn't you be more worried about how your sorority is doing? I mean this is recruitment week and shouldn't you be concentrating your efforts on making YOUR sorority is as welcoming as it can be for the PNMs.

My best friend is a theta and she was talking about how much they worked for rush this year and wasn’t sure if it was making a difference in comparison to previous years so I asked on here because there’s not a whole lot of places to ask. Sorry if it came off as any other way.

Omg yeah I didn’t like it a ton when I went through rush. Nothing against them it just wasn’t the house for me. I love my friend and she was wondering if their rush was getting better bc of how it has been in previous years. That is literally all. I don’t have a single problem with theta, sorry I didn’t make that more clear. She loves it there and I’m pretty sure that’s all that matters.

I think being smaller has enabled them to have a tighter sisterhood...it's tough to know many sisters in a house of 400 or so members. I suspect they might also be closer because some people love to bash them and that can bring people closer together. But for sure being smaller is a big plus. Which is why variable quota should be supported, otherwise the biggest houses would get even bigger, becoming almost like a small town.
Everyone should support Theta as we should support every house in doing well. We all offer a wonderful sisterhood with different personalities. We wouldn't want to be in the same house because every house wouldn't be a fit for us.

Their philanthropy is an excellent cause and makes a huge difference in the life of children who've been abused. Theta is really important to CASA. I'm actually not a Theta, but my mother worked for CASA, which is how I know about Theta's involvement. I just saw your mention of their philanthropy and wanted to put in a good word for that cause.
