how will the football program affect ........

How will the football program affect Greek life in the near future? As bad as it is and it’s hurting the school like it or not- add all the progressive crap in too and changing to landsharks- wth
I’m curious to know opinion on how Greek life will stay competitive - this is what we are known for
Example- before State was even put on the map by Dak, the Greek life was not dominant and low quality. Now that they are ranked and thriving, their Greek life is too.
Back to my question- won’t this hurt Greek life in the long run if we become a laughing stock of the sec?

The university leadership increased the value/education ration by 13 places between 2017 and 2018 on a nationally acclaimed list of the top 100 best values in higher education. The university is attracting a greater number of high caliber students who were aware of the football programs issues with the SEC. Guess what? Recruitment numbers are stronger than ever. Unicorns still live in The Grove.

Most of us are actually here for an education. Football is just a form of entertainment, and tailgating is actually the best part of the game. The only people who would choose a school based on the success of it's football are probably on the lower IQ side anyway, so maybe they'd be better off somewhere else.

Well, everything is heading towards being more and more liberal. Even conservatives know this. Just like technology advances, places get more and more liberal. Conservatives just want to slow down the process, that's all.
Also your logic is completely wrong. Strong Greek Life means bad everything else. Think about it, if our team was great that would give us something to do (go to the games), if we lived in say Malibu (pepperdine university) very few people would go greek, because that's LA, there's the beach, hollywood, etc etc. People go Greek when there's nothing to do.
I don't think any student is not picking Ole Miss because of the football record. But keep in mind the football team's income brings in more money than tuition. And when the team does good, donors open their wallets.
Ole Miss just hired 12 extra workers after the Bama loss to call alumni and ask for donations. Because they know donations are going to dry up.

Do the math. Football income is a fraction of what tuition brings in. Silly to think otherwise. Also it is football profit that you should be looking at which is around 40 million annually. That goes to pay for all of the non profitable sports( everyone but men’s basketball and baseball). Ole Miss has had a very strong Greek system for a long time. Football success not so much the last 50 years overall.
