theta?

Theta is a good sorority here. They have a great sisterhood. They've been label the bottom house ever since they got here mainly because they were the most OOS non connected sorority on campus. And we all know how Mississippi Moms feel about outsiders. This same bias affects the other OOS sororities also.

So the girls in your dorm are bashing a sorority and you think "I'll ask about this sorority on Greek Rank! Because I know I'll get an accurate answer there!".

Hey so I have a lot of friends in theta. I’m not 100% sure why they get such a bad rap. Everyone there is very nice, they seem like they have a good sisterhood, they have some cool philanthropies I think, etc. They get swaps, formals, date parties, etc. just like every other sorority haha. Don’t stress about it. It seems they have a bad rep but honestly it’s by no means a horrible sorority or anything like that. I know plenty of girls who were on the fence when they got their bids who absolutely love it now.

Everybody should just follow the crowd, and also do exactly what your Mommy tells you to do. You should definitely want to stay with all the girls you went to High School with. I can't imagine coming to college and trying to meet new people. You might accidentally learn something new about someone from a foreign country like Kansas or New York. That's not how college works!!!!

Is not part of The Machine. They are represented by a lot of OOS ladies who are amazing and are at Ol Miss not because their family expected them to go here, but because they wanted to. They do wonderful things. They threaten the Old Row, and are beat down constantly for it. If they didn't threaten The Machine chapters, there wouldn't be such terrible tent talk.

Enjoy talking to them, and sisters at all the chapters. But do not discount Theta, for they do amazing things.
