you will be fine

Sororities honestly shouldn’t even be ranked because we’re truly all the same at heart. Just large groups of women wanting to make lifelong friendships and have the college experience we’ve only ever dreamed of. Stop worrying what house you’ll be in based on its superficial ranking. Find the people who your values most align with and go from there. I have plenty of friends who pledged a sorority just based off its “rank” and are miserable because they can’t connect with anyone the way they thought they could. At the end of the day, no ones going to ask you what your sorority was ranked. If they ask anything it’ll be, “are you in a sorority? Do you love it?” And I truly hope that your answer is yes.

Perfectly said. PNM's, listen up!

The letters don't matter. Only finding a sisterhood you love does and that's available in any of the wonderful chapters we have at OM. Focus on finding your home, not a rank or tier.

so you are saying don't care about rankings because we are all the same and great then you tell us people that aren't happy because they cared about rankings, but I thought you said we were are the same and great?

sorry but this is a thumbs down

I think the poster is saying to go where you feel comfortable regardless of perceived rank.

OPs point may have been trying to say ranks shouldn't be important, but she added a little story about someone being unhappy with their choice because they chose based on rank. Personally if someone is unhappy with their sorority they probably aren't even trying. Our sororities are just too big to not be able to make friends and that's true of every single one of them. It's almost impossible to know everyone on a personal level in your own sorority, but you can meet enough people to make connections and build friendships, which is the purpose of sororities in the first place. Our sororities are bigger than some high schools graduating classes.
