grades

Everyone has me freaked out on grades. Is a 3.2 out of 4.0 scale not high enough for rush?

You should be okay. Not for like top houses but otherwise it shouldn’t be a huge issue. I’m in a lower tier sorority and we only specifically cut for grades if you don’t have a 2.8 and I’m sure a few others are similar. I wouldn’t stress about it.

Some houses cut under 3.2 automatically unless you have an ACTIVE willing to complete a grade risk form and even then the form has to get approved by someone higher up

I had a 3.25 and was cut from a couple of top houses due to this. I’m in a lower top/upper mid house now (a legacy but still) a 3.2 is fine. not fantastic, not terrible. don’t get too worked up

Don't worry about it. It's out of your control at this point and the best thing to do is to enjoy rush and find your home. There are houses where that will be fine.

I think the highest cut off point for Ole Miss sororities is 3.2 but most are 3.0. So while a 3.2 isn't necessarily a reason to give you a bid, it isn't exactly a reason to cut you either. I wouldn't worry about it. It won't really hurt you, it just won't help you. Where you should really be worried is if you have below a 3.0

If you can’t get over a 3.2 at Ole miss, I think you have a problem bigger than choosing a sorority

Your comment is not taking a couple of things into consideration. First of all, the OP is likely coming from high school and has not yet spent a semester at Ole Miss. There are many high schools in America that are honestly hard, not to mention offer challenging AP/honors classes. Secondly, if the OP is a student at Ole Miss, she might be taking classes that are tough, such as Chemistry, etc. She could also take a more classes per semester than is common or work or have a personal issue that temporarily interfered with school. She could also have a learning difference and that does not have a thing to do with being intelligent. All I'm saying is that we don't know the full story.
