camp connections
by: Not a camperSome girls were talking about certain camps they go to and have since they were very young, saying that is where they have made a lot of Ole Miss connections which will "most likely" get them in top houses. Help! what are they talking about? I didn't go to camp; I actually hate sleeping outdoors :/

camp connections mean very little in the grand scheme of things I know a girl who went to camp with a top-tier girl for YEARS and she still got what is considered a bottom-tier house. I did not go to camp and got a top tier house. dont worry about not being a camp girl! you will be fine.

I have no idea why you think camp has anything to do with sleeping outdoors. When people talk about camp... think “The Parent Trap”.... spending 1-2 months every summer with other girls.
Of course the poster above is right there are girls who end up in bottom houses.... but most do not and they have made connections to help them get into the top houses. It’s just a way to know people and alumni which can help, but doesn’t guarantee anything. It’s a much bigger deal at Texas Schools than here anyway
