why do people rank kd higher than ddd

Anyway, I think most people would say Tri Delt is still in top, just the last couple of pledge classes it seems like KD has edged them out just a bit and jumped ahead of Tri Delt slightly. I think same happened to Chi O, too. Variable quota for last 2 pledge classes has caused some great girls to “get away” to other houses, closing the gap and even things out just a bit. It means they take less girls then they used to, plus they still have pressure from their alums to take so many legacies...Lately its been giving KD the edge. But honestly they’re both great houses!

KD is more diverse and takes more OOS students. They also aren’t inclined to accept all legacies. They will cut legacies if it isn’t a good fit. Let’s just come out and say it: for the most part, KDs are pretty and have good personalities. KD also takes girls with great resumes no matter what town, state, or high school they are from.

On the other hand, DDD obviously doesn’t care about looks and personality. Many are tragic looking. DDD is more focused on legacies and high school friends (from certain high schools and towns).

PNMs, especially OOS PNMs, don’t care about history. They care about sororities that make them feel special and are outgoing/fun. KDs do that even if they cut you later. At least they are nice. DDDs are knots on logs during rush. They know that a small group of actives and alums will be choosing the pledge class anyway.

This is why KD is ranked higher by PNMs. I have know several PNMs to rank DDD second after pref in favor of several sororities (DDD moms in Jackson would be shocked).

I wanted KD more than anything coming into rush, but basically it was because I was obsessed with The Movie The Blind Side before coming to school here. I had some very good friends in the house and all Ole Miss Alumni recs, but not a legacy. I ended up getting cut and getting my second choice which has turned into an amazing experience. I love my house so much and it has been perfect for me.
I just think there are lots of girls like me that love KD for different reasons in the beginning and that’s ok!

Nah, DG takes my houses rejects year after year. Thanks for your concern, what can you expect when DGs are on here so much that their response rate is T-1 hour? Laughing stocks of GR, find a new hobby maybe?
