truth about non ole miss legacies

by: PNM Question

My sister was in a sorority in the midwest with a 'top tier' chapter at Ole Miss. What are my chances as a legacy f I only know a couple people in that chapter? Does it even help at all?

Depends on how much influence those girls you know have in their chapter. You will most likely get a courtesy invitation as a legacy to philanthropy round but after that there are no guarantees.

If your grades are good and you have a good personality, you have a good shot. But be sure to get at least 2 recs and 1
Letter of support to each sorority. Don’t put all of your eggs in the legacy basket.

Ole Miss legacy/Ole Miss connections are what counts for the Mississippi Sororities. This is even becoming more important for what is traditionally considered the OOS (middle tier) sororities.

it's 2018 now. maybe 20 years ago (1990s) when most moms (think 1960s) didn't go to college, than sure in the 90s being a legacy out of state could help. but not so much now.

you'll have a bit good odds. but only pretty much sure thing is ole miss legacies
