fraternity bids

Is it hard to get a bid from a frat here? I’m OOS and it seems like OOS people don’t get bids like instate people (from what I can tell on this site)

Depends on how well you network during pre-rush. Highly recommend getting out as much as possible before rush and have a general idea of where you want to go heading into rush week. You can always get a pre bid also if you get in tight with some guys. Just be yourself and don’t try too hard.

Not at all...Just be yourself and you will find a home. Everybody has kids from all over.

it's way way easier for oos to get a bid from a fraternity then a sorority that's for sure, but in the end it depends on a lot more other things besides where your from

if you are legacy you won't have any problem.

OOS or Out of Region? Two big differences. A lot of frats have Texas or Florida guys and they look out for their people and pick them.

You won't be top tier. Mid tier frats are easier to get into for OOS than mid tier sororitys.

I don’t know what Rush is like for fraternities bc I’m a girl, but every single guy I know got into the franternity they said they wanted before rush

Won't be hard to get in a frat and seen the top ones take kids from CA, NY, IL and all over. Just make sure you meet people and go to the houses.
