name calling
by: confuseddoes the order that you get called into the house mean anything?

Different houses do things differently. Sometimes being called first means you'll be at a front table, sometimes it means you'll be at a back table. And things go wrong every round as well, so there's really no telling where you were supposed to be sitting. So honestly just enjoy rush and try not to worry about the little things.

Yes, it absolutely matters in most houses! Where you sit, to whom you speak with and how many actives you meet each day absolutely matters most of the time. If you are one of the top pnms to a particular house then they will treat you as such. Of course, non-top pnms will be on the bid list and won't get the same special treatment. So for those girls you won't have any idea. But for the most part it will.

Let's say it does matter the order in which your name is called to walk into a party. That order would be based on prior interactions or legacy status within a chapter. But the truth remains that you are now walking into a NEW PARTY, when you will meet new people and learn more about the sorority. This is your new opportunity to shine and make an impression. However, if you're walking into the party slighted or overthinking what did it mean that I was called ninth, you will not be able to enjoy yourself. Please try not to get hung up on that kind of stage.
The truth is no matter if you're first or last into the party, the sororities want to impress you and make you love that house. They are working very hard to make a great impression on you. They have spent half of the year preparing for this party because you and your opinion matters that much to them. If they weren't interested in you, you would not be there at all.

some houses do it alphabetically, some do it just in random order, and some there is a certain order. Some sit you wherever, some sit top girls in the front or in a certain room... it really just all depends and you can't look into these things because half the time it doesn't mean crap.
