"not feeling a connection"

Every year I hear girls say "I don't feel a connection" so they don't want to pledge a house; sometimes they even drop out or "suicide" at pref. Don't do this! With hundreds of girls in every house, you can find girls that you like and connect with, whether it's actives or those in your pledge class. If you can't, then you're not trying.

Greek life at OM is so competitive that if you get a bid, it's a gift. Re-rushing as a sophomore is rarely successful so if you think that's an option, think again. If you think you can go through COB, think again too. The houses that usually have COB are likely the ones you turned your noise up at (if you're a PNM who thinks they're "too good" for certain houses).

Look at it this way: some people become friends instantly when they meet, sometimes developing a friendship takes time. Same with dating. Give a house a chance if you get a bid!
