kd or ddd
by: PNMI am a freshman and rushing this fall, it is my dream to be a DDD or a KD. Based on public opinion, do you think it is better to go DDD or KD??? Who has a better review reputation???

I'm saying this as well meaning as possible.... answer these questions first about yourself to see if you will probably be in one of these two.
1. Am I an in house legacy?
2. Do I come from Mississippi or from a major southern metropolitan area?
3. Am I a cheerleader or rebellette?
4 are my parents wealthy and I have very good connections?
5. Did I attend one of the big summer camps in the south?
6. Am I already being courted by girls in these houses? Commenting on social media, taking you out at orientation or pregame? Sending you Christmas cards or graduation cards your senior year?
If you can answer yes to some of these questions than congrats! You are on a list somewhere for these houses and on their radar. I wish you luck!

in house legacy means you have a biological sister who IS currently an active in a sorority at Ole Miss.
(ex. if you are a pnm at Ole Miss and your bio sister IS an active in Ole Miss ddd then you are an in-house legacy)
if your mother/sister WAS an Ole Miss KD then you are a legacy, but not an in-house legacy
if your mother/sis WAS a ddd at Texas then you are a legacy.
if your sis IS a KD at Bama then you are a legacy.

The camps that matter are Greystone, Ozark, Mystic, Waldemar, and a few others. Plenty of girls have spent their summers together and when they get to college they help each other get into houses.

Doesn't matter who you are. If you present yourself well you could get into any of them. If i were you I would look at DG, Phi Mu or XO. I think DDD and KD are overrated. Chi O is the most prestigious and once you step foot in the DG house you will be impressed. Both sororities are very good scholastically and down to earth. Why pledge one that is hot today and gone tomorrow.

While there are a few spots probably open in DG to girls they love during the week. The questions above apply to them mostly too. Besides if you have gone anywhere the last month you will see DG's out hosting girls to dinners, bars etc. I even saw KKG and phi mu hosting several. That's not to say you couldn't get one of the 15 or so spots for random girls... you have to remember these houses also have generations of legacies to consider.
The house thing is ridiculous though.... never choose a sisterhood based upon the look of a house. It is the people who you will bond with and be sisters with, not the building. It really is disgusting how people keep talking about the houses., especially DG! Your house is gorgeous, you don't have to sell it to anyone, I'm sure the inside looks way better than it did.

I also really like KKG and AOTT at Ole Miss as well. I agree that DG is also a very good choice. Not interested in Chi O for various reasons.

DG PLEASE you let in plenty of girls that weren't on your radar, please quit trying to pretend you're one of the 3 queen's, I'd personally rather go Phi Mu than DG
