ranking by in or out of state
by: In n OutCurious what the rankings would look like from an instate vs oos pov. And maybe even out of south?
#1 by: Not really rankings.
KD, DDD, Chi-O and DG are the clear In-state/legacy sororities. Although they do have OOS students, those students come with strong Ole Miss connections. Although DG goes after the same girls the top three are going after, they also like to go after the University cheerleaders.
Kappa also has In-state students but they are less connected. They do have a Texas connection however. They should have a variable quota advantage this year because of a high membership reduction between Fall and Spring semesters.
Phi Mu is a mix of some in state, legacies and OOS students from the Southern states. Known as the 'pageant' girls because of their past reputation of having several former pageant winners, and they do sort of give off a 'girly' vibe.
Pi Phi and AOPi are the more diverse OOS/OOR sororities. They tend to recruit girls from all over the country. Both have strong GPAs and both will experience reduced quotas this year because of past strong recruitment success.
Alpha Phi has definitely made their appearance known on campus. Known as the 'Northern' OOS sorority. They have had very successful recruitments during their short time on campus. However, they will need to work on their GPA average. If they recruit this year as strong as they have recruited in the past two years, this will be the last year they will have a variable quota advantage.
ADPi and Theta are OOS/OOR sororitys. Both will have variable quota advantage this year, possibly as high as a 180 membership quota.

I graduated LAST YEAR and i'm NOT from Memphis, i'm from multiple states away so you actually do not know anything which was the point I was trying to make earlier. My pledge class was half out of state. 50% down the middle. Again, there is no difference in rank whether your are in or out of state.

I was in a top three OOS and half of my pledge class is OOS. There is no difference in ranking whether you are in state or OOS. each PNM wants a top three going into rush.
