most desired houses?
by: 32rebI know everyone practically ranks the sororities the same way but what are the most desired houses among pnms?

Before I went through rush everyone had different preferences for house they wanted. One of my friends wouldve killed for Kappa and her room mate was really wanting DG. Another one of my friends was torn between Tri delt and KD because she had so many friends in both. It really just depends

heres the thing I found- we all came into rush thinking we all wanted the same house(es) but during the week you find (or hopefully you find if you don't listen to this site or other people talking) that we all wanted different ones. Everyone is different and feels at home / likes different people and different houses- this is why tiers are so stupid and this site so toxic.

I actually found something I liked about all the houses, although it was all pretty overwhelming actually. I enjoyed going through recruitment, but was glad when it was over. I ended up really liking KD, Phi Mu, Pi Phi, AOPi and I also liked Theta (still can't figure out why they get such a bad rap) They all seemed really nice and seemed interested in me. You just have to go through recruitment and see for yourself how you feel about each one.

I agree with the poster above that said everyones most desired house will be different. Personally I fell in love with Theta day one- the girls seemed genuine to me and they seemed like girls I was friends with in High School- quite honestly I was THRILLED that they weren't considered a "top house" because it meant my chances of pledging them were really high. I was told repeatedly during the process that they were not a "desired house"- but I did desire them so for me they were.

To be honest most of the sororitys at Ole Miss aren't extremely racially diverse. That being said I feel most of them are open and accepting of students from different backgrounds. If she has the right Ole Miss Connections to one of the top three she might have a chance with one of them, but if not or if she is from out of state she will probably want to give a really good look at Phi Mu, Pi Phi, AOPi, Alpha Phi (I promise they aren't all blonds), ADPi or Theta. But tell her to keep an open mind, anything and everything is possible and no one knows how rush will turn for anyone.

This is so true. I think all of us get caught up in the top tier worship, but going through recruitment is different. I fell in love with one of the top tiers but the other two just didn't feel right, something was just off about them. Loved two of the middle tiers (ended up in one of them) and really liked one of the lower tiers. I hate to even use the 'tier' terms because I agree it's stupid. It all depends on who you like and who likes you.
