what is bid day like

So on the morning of Bid day you'll go to the Grove and meet your gamma chi group. Your gamma chi will give you your bid card envelope. You will wait till everyone gets there and open your cards. Then you'll run to your house. It's so hectic that the only thing you would want your parents there for is to take pictures. It's a big event in the town so they could come down and just be there for support. You wear a white tank top/shirt and track shorts and tennis shoes. We were told to wear white because you don't want your tshirt to show through your bid day jersey if your house has white ones. You wear tennis shoes because running all the way from the grove to your house with hundreds of girls is HARD. also all the frat boys have already gotten their bids and they all line up and watch everyone run.
