It's a small campus with a lot of potential for growth. Greek life is still really new but there are a few organizations that are making it grow rapidly. There isn't exclusively greek housing on campus yet.
As a whole Greek like exists at this school but the problem is truly that the board does not like / does not endorse Greek life. The bylaws prevent houses from being built and they try to prevent Greeks from living with each other in the housing options provided by the campus. The Greek organizations have the biggest parties and social life on campus, whereas other orgs lack the involvement of these groups
jus speaking from my experiencess, i had a good time at uis but definitely could have been better. no housing, but greeks host most events on campus
Mostly the vice-chancellor that hates greek life. Its gonna take some time to expand here, but its very possible in the near future
this school is a joke when it comes to greek life lol dont even
