PNMs and stfu said completely diff things. Statistically more will get bids who want them.

@everyone is referring to the posts much earlier by "PNM." "PNMs" is absolutely correct....

The person below is a lunatic and spends too much time worrying about what people say on Greek Rank. I've heard one year 1500 went thru and 800 got bids. That's misleading. Many drop because they don't have the grades. Others just wanted to see all the houses but had no intention of following thru. The person below is doing nothing more but trying to feel important because she has problems and needs reassurance. Probably isn't in a house.

out of all the girls who show up to preference round, around 150-200 don't get a bid. So yes, your chances are higher if you stick it out all the way through, but there's still a chance that you will wind up without a bid.

What is your point? There are going to be girls who don't get bids but you have no idea how many and for what reason. Are you trying to discourage girls from going through rush? Are you trying to make yourself feel superior? Recruitment is like going on a job search, some will get one and others won't. It doesn't mean the company was at fault for not employing everyone that applied. Quit spreading your loser personality on freshmen.

Unfortunately last year that number, was a bit higher. The fact that so many got to pref and did not receive bids was upsetting for all--IU panel, houses, PNM's, Rho Gams, and nationals. When girls get to pref and do not get a bid it is definitely a result of the numbers game and nothing more. Contrary to what some people think, it is not like a job interview--one can have a wonderful "CV" and not get a spot. Panhel at IU recognizes this problem as does National Panhel. If one makes it to pref--they should end up somewhere- that is the case even in the uber competitive SEC and ACC recruitments. Adding more chapters will help, but the real remedy is to allow live outs and get rid of bed quota. There are amazing girls who did not get bids last year--they deserved it as much as those who did.
