To the guy below I would have to disagree with you. DZ should definitely be top and kappa should not. Gphi/AZD are in no way better than DZ.

I really do not get the sense that the person below you is "bitter," and NO, regardless of what you assume it is not me. The takeway from "yep's" comment was that the degradation has to stop. Tiers do not matter--sisterhood is what is important. The Greek system has inherent value, and the hope is that we all find the place we fit best. I just graduated and I saw Greeks come together for philanthropies, Dance Marathon and support each other through a difficult recruitment year. It is a system that continues to make every effort to focus on the positive Greek experience. I doubt any of us would treat colleagues in the work place, or neighbors in our community the way people are (anonymously) treated on this site. And to the poster's point below--none of us want our children to treat others this way. IU is a wonderful school,and the majority of people on the Bloomington campus are friendly, kind, and respectful. Celebrate the opportunities you have have been given!

There is a message here that is relevant and powerful--every chapter is made up of INDIVIDUALS. By lumping in tiers you take away unique qualities. would you want each house to be the same? The Greek population is simply a reflection of the general population...period. Believe it or not there are people on this site who are attempting to be positive, yet, it seems that you are intent on twisting what they say into some kind of negative. The only one in the recent comments who has bashed anyone is you. Do not make the mistake of thinking that anyone is more special than anyone else--it will not serve you well in the real world.

I get the 'sense' there are some girls in lower tier houses who are getting a little petty.

I noticed the same thing. Top houses have the same kinds of close friendships.

Greek chapter has wonderful girls and wonderful friendships. Best experience ever .....and it lasts a lifetime!

The greek system is great and the friendships are forever. You may end up in a top tier house or one that isn't as popular at rush but it doesn't matter so long as it works for you. There are catty girls especially those who get undone about the tier system. Remember, catty girls are everywhere, not just sororities.

Who is excited for ASA?

expansion. . Hopefully the addition of another sorority, as well as TPA last year will open up more slots for those who want to pledge. TPA did very well with their numbers, and there seems to be interest in unhoused chapters. Best of luck to Alpha Sig!
