grades are actually huge. the majority of the houses have higher grade requirements than the minimum. honestly, don't go through recruitment unless you have at least a 3.0

Everyone is saying that it comes down to looks and that can be very true for top houses but I know a lot of really pretty girls who did not get into even middle tier houses and quite a few who didn't get into a house at all, and not to be rude but if you look around at a lot of girls who do get into bottom and even middle tier houses, they were definitely not necessarily the most attractive girls they could've taken.

Yes, looks will help.
Yes, grades will help.
BUT what you need to focus on is BEING YOURSELF. Forming bonds with the girls you're talking to during recruitment is the ultimate goal! If you talk to a girl who's beautiful and has average grades but has the personality of a door knob or a personality that doesn't fit in your chapter, they will get cut. If a girl who isn't as pretty and also has average grades BUT has a lovable personality that you can see fitting in your chapter, they will most likely get a bid!
Bottom line: don't be shy, look presentable, get the grades and you'll do fine. Whatever chapter you end up in is the chapter that you fit in the most with and that's better than not being yourself and ending up in a chapter that you don't fit in at!

100% true. Don't worry about getting into a top sorority. Worry about who you're going to be spending the next three and a half years with...you want a chapter that you feel you fit well in. Not one that has the prettiest girls. That's just stupid.
