There obviously is an effect, believe it or not sororities don’t live for partying like frats do. Doesn’t matter if they’re off social probation, disciplinary probation is very bad

I was very concerned about this, too. My little sister is rushing and I sent her the IDS article. I can't link it here but if you google 'kappa kappa gamma IDS' it will pop right up. Absolutely awful.

So I do really like Kappa but my parents read all those hazing articles and are literally telling me they won't pay for any of my sorority bills if I join Kappa :( They said I can join any other house just not Kappa. It's just so much money I'd have to pay myself so that kinda sucks that I basically have to cut them

Listen to ur parents on this one lol they’re right. Anyone who knows anyone in Kappa knows they deserve to be on disciplinary probation, tbh they deserve even worse than that. Also being on probation means they’re 1 strike away from being kicked off. One shady picture sent to OSFL, and they’re gone. You’re not getting your money back
