Dropped from a phi for eating?

Hi everyone, I was in the final round of rush for a phi and was really excited. However, I ran into a sister in the house with a jimmy johns sandwich in my hand, and she asked what I got. I told her I got the gargantuan (and recommended it), and I was informed 20 minutes later that I was no longer in consideration for their Spring ‘22 pledge class. Do you think these two events are related?

I was dropped because I mentioned I eat bagels for fun not realizing it was part of the aphi zbt babel challenge.
