People from Chicago visit the coasts all the time, after all O'Hare is wayyy better than any airport in NYC or LA. Don't act like people here don't know what it's like in NYC and can't afford a flight there. Most people who visit NYC from Chicago see what's poppin there but are content with what Chicago has to offer. After all, cost of living, cleanliness, and attitudes of people are all argued to be better in Chicago. Both NYC and Chicago are big cities that offer the same core amenities. For many, NYC doesn't offer anything substantial over Chicago to make people want to move there.

NY is literally 4 chicagos. 8 chicagos if you only count the habitable parts. I love chi cause it's kinda like ny except smaller and slightly cleaner but saying ny doesn't have anything substantial over chi proves you've never lived in new york
