Why did PNMS drop ASA to begin with. The more girls that join the bigger the sorority the more pairs they have. Like I know it’s scary to be the start but someone gotta

The sad thing is PNMs want what they want and most girls want a physical house with kick ass ladies. While Asa has kick ass ladies there’s still no house so unfortunately when given the option of a house with equally as good as girls PNMs will choose the chapter with the house. PNMs should follow what they want and it’s hard to choose a chapter that’s lacking something so huge in the community. A house doesn’t make a chapter, but it helps PNMs make decisions

Ya no I’ve been wondering the same thing Becuase TPA is unhoused and for a full pc

I know why. You rank them bottom then they say awful untrue things about those chapters. Everyone pumped up TPA and said nothing that was not negative about the rest in that line

Also including sdt and sk in this. Because yes thing are said about lower chapters. Across the board.

But you also have to consider the chapters for what they are. Tpa took a full pc because they connected well with girls and had the personalities to carry their recruitment process even without a house. Chapters like tpa, sdt, and ADPi get chosen over others because they have unique and diverse personalities. DPhiE is unique but they do tend to take more shy or awkward girls that may not recruit as well even though they have a house. Same goes for asa, tpa likely took all of the girls who wanted unhoused and would have gone for asa instead. Also account for how the tier system has treated all of the chapters mentioned above and then wonder why they have trouble recruiting

If dphie has shy or awkward girls, how did they change their PC quality overnight? Maybe asa could do the same

I don’t think that has anything to do with how we recruit we have really out going girls in our chapters. I think it’s the way everyone talks about what a sorority should be and the fact is that “image” is changing and some chapters can’t keep up. They need help so help out.

These are outgoing friendly girls! That is not an issue!

I mean I wouldn’t say it’s not the issue. Girls go through recruitment to find chapters that are similar to themselves. Dphie might be “outgoing” but not in the same way a girl in tpa or sdt is outgoing. There are a variety of girls with different personalities but a lot of the “lower tier” chapters DO have more awkward or shy or overly outgoing girls and it scares some PNMs away because they might want something else. I am in a “bottom” chapter but I can still admit we have a lot of girls that are considered weird, shy, or awkward. A majority of the issue is how the tier system portrays and treats each chapter but you do have to account for the girls in the chapters themselves.

With so many chapters doing informal, is that going to hurt asa’s chance to get more girls? I know most are invite only so guessing each house is only taking a few girls?

Idk, my house isn’t doing informal and my friends in those houses aren’t officers so they don’t know how many they are taking either

Why do we hate they again?

I will say that while the concept of Panhellenic support is great it can go too far. Telling every girl who didn’t get a bid how great ASA is is the last thing they want to hear when they are still broken hearted about the sorority that dropped them. Also they have to be honest with themselves about how they will feel not living in a house. If you keep saying “it doesn’t matter at all!” you’re lying to yourself on this campus since living in is such a huge part of Greek life.

The best thing that could be done would be to find stable housing for all groups.

No one actually hates ASA. Everyone loves them. Their girls are incredibly sweet and they have a lot of really beautiful women. They just get overlooked because of this site now. I’m a senior and I know their senior class had a pledge class of like 60 girls and as soon as they became the only unhoused it just completely flipped for them. They used to be the largest sorority too. If I wanted to be unhoused I 100% would have joined ASA as a freshman.
