Getting a top house shouldn’t be your top priority. You’ll learn this sooner or later whether you listen to the girls actually in sororities or not, but being in a top house only matters if you’re here for your MRS degree. And even then it doesn’t make that much of a difference.
Please for the love of God keep an open mind during recruitment and pick the houses you like based on the girls in the house. A shining reputation is not going to change how much you hate the other girls in your house just because you get to have “better” letters.
No one is going to tell you this during recruitment, but if you were to ask sisters from every house candidly how much they like their sisterhood you’ll find that top tier doesn’t mean you’re going to be happy or get along with them.

GREAT ADVICE ⬆️⬆️⬆️....
Something that gets lost is that recruitment is about finding your HOME—not your social equals, not your status associates—but the group of women who you feel comfortable with, laugh with, cry with, work with—and who will be in your circle for the rest of your life.
Don’t read this crap, don’t be influenced by friends...go away by yourself and be HONEST with your evaluations, your needs and impressions. And remember that you will be ACTUALLY INTERACTING with only a fraction of each chapter during your parties.
GOOD LUCK!!

Agree with above posters, and I would like to add that you have to LIVE WITH these girls. 24/7. NOT just go to parties with them. Make sure you pick a house with girls that you feel very comfortable with.
