The Hazing:
Reprimand: Basically a mark/point for if you mess something up(confidentiality, failed quizzes, break any sorority rules). Apparently, if you get a specific amount you get "fake-dropped."
Interviews: Hour long interview and PHS with actives and associates. All of them. Must be completed by said due date.
Memorization: Greek alphabet forward and backwards (recite in 15-20 seconds). Active/alumni class names & line names, majors, hometowns, DOB. Regions sorority has, charter dates, names of charters, sorority crest, statements, core values, etc.(Binder full of Greek information on the sorority) Required to test on information if fail you receive a reprimand.
Pledge pin: Having to wear a pin constantly to show that you are still in initiation process during official chapter meetings.
Mandatory events(cultural, sisterhood, EE, PR, ESG), quizzes, and presentations: Mountain load of assignments and presentations required to be finished before a due date. You are required to pass a quiz with a specific score or higher. If you do not pass you retake and have to pass the second time, if not you get a reprimand. Constant berating of how presentations could be better and how no time was put into assignments or projects.
Mandatory study hours: Nothing too bad, helps sorority maintain a GPA requirement.
Countless hours spent on assignments, presentations, interviews, events, and quizzes. Emotional manipulation, purposely stressing out new members stating “if/when you do cross, requiring pledges to do meaningless tasks with due dates (throwaway projects that requires new members to brainstorm ideas and present). Sleep deprivation, stress, decline in grades are all results of this.
I am not an official aKDPhi, so the information is based on what was said to me or heard from the new zeta line or friends of the upcoming line. Should more or less be correct though. Definitely would love proof where I was wrong, but we all know that they would just deny everything. This is just a summary of the information I've heard. New information: week 6 of process is another mountain load of assignments that includes: class banner, new member class song, timeline, alumnae scrapbook, nme skit video, formal presentation, dinner. All due by the the end of week 4 of ocotober.

Apparently investigations are going on, but active house is encouraging the new members to cover for the hazing by saying that initiation wasn't stressful but someone snitching on them was.

Did you guys know UCF PDPsi make you meet them in a dark parking garage, says “ do you trust the brothers of PDPsi”, puts you in a body bag/ bag over your head, and throw you in a car for initiation night? I felt so uncomfortable and had to drop. Didn’t expect that when I meet them during rush.

Not hazing? Please explain to me how this is not hazing? The definition of stated by UCF is, "any action or situation that recklessly or intentionally endangers the mental or physical health and/or safety of a student for purposes including but not limited to initiation or admission into, or association or affiliation with, any registered student organization or other group whether or not officially recognized by the University." From the posts itself and the images that were online before being taken down, it clearly shows the new members being distressed about the inititation process. If you want to defend your sorority that is fine, but do not undermine the meaning of hazing just because somebody in your sorority told you to say this for damage control.
