daggerman vs overall

what is the point of daggerman being different from the overall winner? I know ADPI does it also, and ZTA began doing it last semester but why?

Do they want to give out recognition to multiple chapters (even though daggermen get free mealplan)?
Is it just so the chapter can vote on which fraternity they want to win since a lower/mid frat won the overall competition the past two years?

yes, the post is asking why. most sororities do not have it separate and the frat that has the most points wins the title too.
