BID DAY ADVICE
by: storm
PNMS,
Prepare for a LOT of screaming, crying, sweating etc. Bring water, earplugs, and fans. Emotions are heightened. Be kind patient and kind with yourselves and each other.
--
Prepare for potentially seeing the second choice on your bid card. Amidst screaming women, it is okay feeling overwhelmed. Do not discredit yourself just yet. Shock can distort reality.
The future is not definite. There are options like COB or rushing next fall.
Heightened emotions may settle after a few days, and you see your house has supportive, inspiring, and beautiful women. Those women saw something in you. Instead of getting caught up in loss, embrace gain!
Sororities are full of similar women, despite different letters. Greek row shares more in common than not. If Greek Life is important to you, don't be quick dropping based on initial disappointed.
College flies by. Four years fly by. Sorority life is a once in a lifetime experience. You regret the things you didn't do more than the things you did.
Happy Recruitment<3

Agree on COB as an option but chances are if you were dropped you won’t get picked during COB. Just need to be realistic and most “top tier” (all self rated and not real) don’t recruit sophomores. Need to have eyes wide open.
Don’t focus on the tier—- focus on the sisterhood
