Disaffiliated Frats?

Can someone explain what the disaffiliated frats are and what’s better them or the affiliated ones

There's almost no pros. Disaffiliated frats cant do events with sororities.

They can have parties at their houses which is nice. Affiliated frats can’t have wet events at their houses and can get suspended. Disaffiliated can’t get suspended because they’re not technically apart of ucf. Either looks good on a resume so go where u feel is right

Yea they have dues. They don’t have any rules under UCF, just national rules I’m sure. But then again every srat on UCF follows UCF rules. UCF rules don’t allow any disaffiliated orgs to participate on campus for events, and srats aren’t allowed to go on socials with disaffiliated groups. (Including philanthropy) Your only positive to going disaffiliated is you get to throw house parties, but aren’t really “in” the Greek community when it comes to participation.
