Be honest Frats.....

Be honest, not rude....
I'm a mature student (25) finishing out my bachelors. I have a year and a half left (Dec 2022). I transferred in at UCF right as 'rona hit and didn't get to do anything that Spring. The idea of joining a greek life has always been on my mind but never pulled the trigger. Thoughts?
- Am I going to be that "one old guy" trying to live his college experiences?
- What's the rush / bid / intake process like?
- I do work full time during the day on top of classes. I have tons of free time at night and on the weekends, but how would that affect my experience with frat?
- As cheesy as this sounds, just looking for a place to "belong" and make my college experience a bit more normal. Is this a go-to or a "don't do it".
- I'm down to drop contact info if you're down to talk about questions/concerns. The few people I've tried hitting up on insta don't respond -_-

Your age might deter some frats but honestly if you fit in with the vibes of a certain frat then you have a chance to get a bid. It’s free to rush so check around to see where you feel like you’d fit in and attend their rush events.
For the rush process your job shouldn’t interfere for the most part since most of the events are at night when people aren’t in class.
Just remember that if you do get a bid you’ll be 7 years older than a lot of the guys you’re rushing with which might end up feeling weird.
