House tours as philanthropy stunt
by: BeefWhy don’t sororities do house tours as like a philanthropy thing? I would pay $5 to know the secrets that pi phi’s 20 foot roof holds. Is that a second story? Is it an attic used for initiation? Someone please help me understand
#1by: Well
As a former pi phi who has physically been in the attic, I can tell you. I was pretty excited about exploring it initially, but it didn’t amount to much. It’s just a large, wooden attic filled with initiation props (letters, fake plants/garland, twinkly lights, arrow decor, etc.), storage stuff, and lots of insulation fluff. It was originally supposed to be the second floor of the house with bedrooms, but we didn’t develop it before the “elevator law” was passed (to make it accessible to all), so the plan was set aside until the budget was appropriate, which never happened. Basically a steep ladder takes you up to an attic storage unit. There’s no AC and it kinda sucks. That is all.
