do people ACTUALLY care what sorority someone is in

I’m new to greek life and i know the whole “tier” system or whatever. But i’m just genuinely curious if you walk over to someone and tell them ur in a middle or bottom tier do they actually care

Don’t believe anything you see on this site. I’m not in either of these chapters and I know that’s not true. The person who said that is probably a freshman or someone that thinks they’re way cooler than they actually are

hi so it really depends on who you talk too some people reallyyyy care if you’re in gphi or dz and others couldn’t care less it just depends on if they’re stuck up or not honestly

it’s not just gphi and dz it’s really any low tier people care about. like kappa, chi o, etc. if they’re decent people they won’t care but yea it’s the stuck up ones that do. but they aren’t worth your time anyway

I would say frat guys care more than any of the other girls in diff chapters. I think tires def come into play during recruitment for girls because a lot of them don’t want to be in certain chapters because of what they’ve heard, but that dies down after a while.

I’ve definitely had people tell me “I didn’t know _____ had any cute girls” when I say what chapter I’m in, but everyone who’s said that was a freshman or sophomore. Tiers only matter for people who are super self conscious about themselves and think being top tier defines their worth.

No, at some point you just live your life and have your friends. Most people at UCF aren’t even Greek, so it’s not like they all figure out which sororities are lower tier and shun you. Maybe frat guys who are jerks think about that.

In a way, it’s nice not to have to be obsessed with appearance all the time.
